How to Hide Photos/Pictures on your iPhone without using any Apps

October 13, 2014 by Admin

If you have some personal or important photographs which you don’t want seen by others on your iPhone. Then there is a very easy solution for that. You can hide any pictures on your iPhone or iPad without using any third party apps.

How to Hide Photos on your iPhone /iPad

There are many apps in iTunes for hiding photos and videos, that can protect your contents with passwords. But here I am going to tell you to hide your photos without any apps.

1. Open photo library on your iPhone/iPad.
2. Tab the photo which you want to hide from others.
3. Now tap Edit, then Crop option at the bottom.

4. Crop a small portion of the picture from any of the corner side.

5. Now save that cropped image. No one will understand that what is, in that image.
Have you lost the original one?  No… Don’t worry. When you edit a photo inside iOS, the original copy gets saved along with the edited version and hence we can easily get back to the original unedited version.

How to Restart (Reboot), Restore and Reset your iPhone, iPad or iPod

How to See Hidden Photos on your iPhone /iPad

In iPad-

Whenever you want to see the original photographs, just open the photo gallery on your iPad, select the edited photo and go to edit then choose “Revert to Original“.

In iPhone-

There is a small difference in iPad and iPhone, the lack of “Revert to Original” option in the iPhone but you can manually drag the cropping handles outside to see the original version.

By this way you can easily protect your images from others. So use this trick and let me know if any problem you faced.

Interesting and short! I don’t use iPhone nor iPad but I guess users of these devices will find this piece helpful. The steps are easy and the intent of hiding photos is good. At least, it will help protect your privacy!
