How to Create Bootable USB Disk for Installing Windows 10

Everyone is crazy for windows 10 these days after launching of windows 10 by Microsoft. They have launched windows 10 after windows 8, skipped one version(windows 9). Microsoft has provided an option for all its users that your device running on Windows 7, 8, 8.1 (old)versions will automatically prompt you to upgrade to Windows 10. Even you can also select bootable media to do the same because new version of Windows operating system is also available in form of a downloadable ISO image that you can burn on a DVD. But what’ll you do if there is shortage of DVD drive or optical disk drive on your laptop, PC, ultra books or tablets. In that case there is another reliable way to install windows 10 on your device, using USB drive. But not everyone can do this task easily, so here in this article I’ll tell you how you can do this job in very easy way.

Steps to Create Bootable USB Disk for Installing Windows 10

First thing is that you need to minimum 4GB capacity drive for creating bootable disk And second thing is make sure that there is no any important data on that USB because it’ll erase all the data available on that USB.

1. Download Media Creation Tool

You need to download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool from below link and carefully select your operating system (32 bit/64 bit).

You can check your version of OS:
Go to Start>Control Panel>System and Security>system

2.  Install and launch the Application

Once Media creation tool is installed on your device, launch the application.
Windows 10 setup displays on the screen wherein you will be asked “What do you want to do?”
Now, select Create installation media for another PC, and then, click Next.

3. Now Select Language, Edition & Architecture

Select the Language, Edition, and 32-bit (x86), 64-bit (x64), or both (32-bit and 64-bit on same USB) Architecture you want for the ISO file, and click/tap on Next.

4. Choose Media

Select USB flash drive and Click on Next.

In case, if you want to create a bootable Windows 10 USB DVD, select ISO file.

5. Connect your USB flash drive

just click on the Refresh drive list and select the USB flash drive. click Next.

your PC will then restart and starts Windows 10 installation process.

Note: After your device has restarted, if you see a message that says “Install Windows” instead of installation progress for your PC, you’ll need to disconnect the USB and then restart your PC again.

6. Ready to use

When the download has finished, your USB flash drive will be ready. Click on Finish.

You have created Bootable USB Disk for Installing Windows 10 successfully. Now you are able to upgrade your old version of windows os to latest windows 10.
