How To Stop Facebook Video Autoplay on iOS,Android and PC in Newsfeed

Ohho…it’s annoying to much!

Yes, I’m talking about facebook videos which are automatically playing in my newsfeed whether I like to watch or not.

Facebook video autoplay is the recent update of facebook. It’s good thing, people like to watch videos but sometimes it may create problem for you when,

  1. You are attending a meeting and wanna check something inevitable on facebook
  2. Limited internet data pack
  3. Consumes your more time
  4. Don’t like to watch videos

And many other reasons.

Might be, facebook improve it in future updates but what to do presently?

Great thing is that, you can avoid this video autoplay easily. You are just few clicks away.

So, I’m going you to share you how you can stop facebook autoplay in your PC and mobile’s newsfeed.

How To Stop Facebook Video Autoplay

1. How to Stop Facebook Video Autoplay on PC

Just follow the steps-

Step 1- Login to your FB account, here you’ll see a blue colored down-arrow placed on the top right corner of your facebook page. Just click that arrow and select settings.

Step 2- In this page, you’ll get an option Videos on the left sidebar menu. Click on that.

Step 3- Now you’ll see, there are two options

1. Video Default Quality

2. Auto-Play Videos

Don’t need to go for first one, just select the second option.

Step 4- Here you’ll find a dropdown arrow. which show you three options (default, on, off) to choose one.

If you do not want to play videos automatically just select ‘off’, that’s it.

2. How To Stop Facebook Video Autoplay On Android

If  you are android user and want to do the same, then open your facebook app and log in.

Step 1. After login, tap the options icon (three horizontal lines) in the top right corner of the home page.

Step 2. Now select ‘app settings’. Here you’ll get many options just select ‘Videos Play automatically’

Step 3. You’ll find here three options On, Wi-fi only and Off. It’ll be ON by default so you have to select Off and that’s it.

3. How To Stop Facebook Video Autoplay On iOS

In case of apple iPhones and iPads, which are using iOS operating system, follow the instructions-

Step 1- Open and login in your facebook app(if not login already).

Step 2- Tab on three horizontal marks at the right side of the bottom.

Step 3- Now tap on Account Settings.

Step 4- Under the Video and photos>choose when videos auto play

You’ll get three options here-

1. Choose data and WIFI connections

2. On WiFi Connections only

3. Never auto-play videos

If you don’t want to auto-play videos, just select ‘Never auto-play videos’
